Karie Ebbens, Principal
I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI surrounded by a large extended family. I spent my summers camping and on the lake with my parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins. After graduating from high school, I started school in Wisconsin. Eventually, I made my way to Florida and finished my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
My husband’s military career brought us to Colorado Springs in 2002, and I have worked in the different districts in and around Colorado Springs ever since. Prior to becoming the principal here at Ranch Creek, I was a teacher, a literacy coach, and an assistant principal. In addition to being a wife, I am also a mom to two adult sons, and I have two sweet Labradors. When I am not at work, I enjoy traveling, spending time around water, (lakes and oceans fill my soul), and listening to live music in both small and large venues.
Tricia Clough, Assistant Principal
I was born in Germany and lived there for seven years before moving to the United States with my family. After a short stay in Texas, we moved to Colorado when I was eight and have been here ever since. I love it here with our blue sky and majestic mountains!
I began my teaching career in D20 at Frontier Elementary School in 2001. I have had the pleasure of teaching first grade as well as being a reading interventionist and MTSS Coordinator prior to becoming the assistant principal at Ranch Creek Elementary in 2016.
My husband Don and I have been married since 1985 and have a daughter and son-in-law that live in Oregon. Our family loves spending time outdoors and traveling together to see new places.
