For the PTA to be effective and truly representative of the school, participation is essential. Many parents feel that they cannot participate in the PTA because they cannot come to meetings or be at the school during the day. This is not true! There are many ways to become involved or just stay informed. We plan to have monthly meetings that alternate with mornings at 9am or evenings at 6pm, please check our website and Notes From the Ranch for meeting dates and times.
While joining the PTA and staying informed is great, keep in mind that by volunteering at our school, you will get to enjoy interacting with the children, become friends with other parents and accomplish things that truly make a difference! Each year we support a variety of activities including ‘old favorites’ as well as exciting new additions. Many of our parents Chair/Co-Chair these events such as: Health Jam, Staff Appreciation, Yearbook, Pastries with Parents, Fun Run, etc. These events cannot happen without your help. While many of our volunteer opportunities require your presence at the school, there are also some ways to help from home.
We also understand that not everyone is able or wants to volunteer. For those parents, we appreciate whatever contribution you can make, like supporting the PTA with your membership dues, attending meetings and sharing your ideas or sending in snacks for an event. Whatever way you choose to be involved, please know that we welcome your participation!
